 SEC Concept Release on Possible Revisions to the Disclosure Requirements Relating to Oil and Gas Reserves

The SEC has published a Concept Release to obtain information about the extent and nature of the public's interest in revising the oil and gas reserves disclosure requirements which exist in their current form in Regulation S-K and Regulation S-X. 
 
Responses will be due 60 days from publication of the release in the Federal Register (likely mid December).

The meeting in which the concept release was approved is also well worth watching.  It can be seen as a webcast on the SEC website.  Choose the Tuesday, December 11, 2007 meeting.  The discussion of this item begins at 57'25".
